You can choose an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough mappings of your home to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot says that future models will be better.

This is a great feature to have if you have several rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's items that need to be removed frequently, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my tests cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. The mops also work well and remove 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
